Enjoyed this exceptional hotel with very attentive and always welcoming staff from the reception and restaurant staff to the housekeepers. I ate at a really nice restaurant for dinner. The room was well-appointed and recently refurbished, the location was beautiful central. Everything was very good, no reason to complain, I can't recommend highly enough it.

A good pick for an overnight stopping in Ambleside with great value. The drying room for our wet weather gear was a nice bonus. Bring your own breakfast options for a more personal touch.

fantastic access to parks and fine lakeside walks
I loved that I could easily stroll to Todd Crag for amazing views and that Ambleside Roman Fort was just a short walk away, offering a glimpse into the area's rich history last summer.

The location was amazin, perfect for walks and close to ambleside. Breakfast was really good, def a highlight. The hotel had a cool cabinet full of info for local attractions and walks, so helpful. Staff were super friendly and let us check in early, nice. Comfy room with a lovely view.
The decor is really dated and the place just kinda feels old. The tv reception was terrible and we had to complain to get a smart tv that worked.

During my stay, I loved the ideal location for walks and enjoyed peaceful surroundings. The cozy atmosphere. The breakfast options lacked variety for vegetarians. I had a good experience and would recommend it to fellow nature lovers.
